Doorbell plaques — Carouge

Doorbell and letterbox plates for Carouge — discreet enough for a protected old town.

Carouge’s old town is low, regular and eighteenth-century in character, and its facades are the reason people live there. A plate that would be unremarkable on a 1970s block reads as damage on a painted stone doorway. We keep formats small, we favour brass that warms with the facade rather than steel that contrasts with it, and we supply adhesive mounting by default so nothing is drilled. If your building is protected or under an owners’ association, confirm what is allowed before fixing anything — we will supply the plate either way, but the permission is yours to obtain.

What the buildings here need

On painted stone and old timber, adhesive mounting is not a compromise but the better solution: it holds a small plate indefinitely, it leaves nothing behind when a tenant changes, and it never opens a path for water into a facade you cannot easily repair.

For property managers

We quote whole buildings as one order: identical font, identical plate size, one delivery, one invoice. Your specification stays on file, so a single replacement two years later still matches the bank it sits in.

Why buildings here choose SwissPlaques

  • Brass finishes chosen to sit with painted stone
  • Adhesive mounting supplied by default — nothing drilled

Questions

Will an adhesive plate hold outdoors?

On a clean, flat, non-porous surface, yes — for years. On rough or freshly painted stone it will not, and we say so before you order rather than after the plate falls.
