Doorbell plaques — Onex

Doorbell and letterbox plates for Onex — built for high-density blocks and long letterbox walls.

A large part of Onex was planned and built as a single high-density development, which means very long runs of identical letterboxes and entry panels serving dozens of flats each. At that scale the cost of a mistake is not one plate but a whole wall, so we produce a single sample first, you check it in place, and only then do we cut the rest. It adds two days and removes the possibility of reprinting sixty plates because a font was a millimetre too tall.

What the buildings here need

Long letterbox walls are read at a distance and in poor stairwell light. That argues for larger lettering and maximum contrast rather than for an elegant small serif — legibility from three metres is the specification, not the look of a single plate held in the hand.

For property managers

We quote whole buildings as one order: identical font, identical plate size, one delivery, one invoice. Your specification stays on file, so a single replacement two years later still matches the bank it sits in.

Why buildings here choose SwissPlaques

  • Sample plate produced and approved before the run
  • Lettering sized for reading at three metres
  • Volume pricing up to 30% from a hundred units

Questions

How long does a hundred-plate order take?

Count roughly a week: two days for the sample and your approval, then production and delivery. Tell us your deadline and we will say honestly whether it is achievable before you commit.
