Letterbox plaques — Verbier
Chalet and letterbox plates for Verbier, engraved in Switzerland for owners who are often somewhere else.
Verbier sits on a south-facing terrace, which is pleasant in February and hard on materials the rest of the year: full sun most of the day, at altitude, all summer. It is the exposure that ages a dark anodised plate fastest. Ownership here is largely international and largely seasonal, so we are used to working from photographs, invoicing abroad and delivering to an agency rather than to the chalet itself.
Which material at this altitude
Above roughly 1,500 metres the sun is harsher and the freeze–thaw cycle runs most of the year. Two consequences. Black and coloured anodised aluminium loses depth faster here than on the Plateau, so we steer alpine orders towards natural silver anodising, brushed stainless steel or brass. And black acrylic, excellent indoors, becomes brittle outdoors under repeated frost — a screw hole intact in October can craze by spring. For an exterior plate at this altitude we fit brass or stainless steel, and nothing else.
Ordering from abroad
Ownership here is largely international, and most of our Verbier orders are placed from abroad. We invoice outside Switzerland with VAT shown separately, we work from photographs rather than site visits, and we deliver to the rental or management agency that holds your keys.

Questions
Can you invoice a company or an address outside Switzerland?
Yes. We invoice abroad with Swiss VAT shown separately, in your company name if you need it for accounting, and payment by card works from any country.
How fast will a dark plate fade on a south-facing chalet?
Noticeably within five to eight years at this altitude and exposure. That is why we do not fit black anodised aluminium here — brass or brushed steel instead, both of which are indifferent to UV.
