The one place where a traditional brass plate is not nostalgia but a professional signal — and where the order of the names matters more than the font.
Firms are usually in older city-centre buildings where the entrance already carries three or four plates from other tenants. Yours will be read against them, which is why we ask for a photograph of the whole doorway before quoting: matching the existing size and mounting height matters more than any design decision. Partner names are engraved in the order you give us and we send a proof — we have learned not to guess the sequence, because it is never alphabetical by accident.
What to engrave
Firm name, partner names, professional title as your cantonal bar permits it, and nothing else. Telephone numbers and websites belong on a card, not on a doorway plate — they date the plate the moment either changes.
Which material
Brass, polished or antiqued, engraved and filled black. It is the material the profession’s clients expect, it belongs on the stone and painted-wood doorways firms occupy, and it is the only one of ours that improves with a decade of hands and weather rather than merely surviving it.
The mistake to avoid
Sizing the plate on its own rather than against its neighbours. A plate ten millimetres taller than the three beside it reads as arrogance to everyone except the person who ordered it.

If the names are on one plate, yes — which is why we suggest a modular frame for firms expecting changes. If you already have a single plate, we can re-engrave a replacement to the identical size and finish.
