Offices reorganise. The question is not what to call the room today but what will still be true after the next move.
A sign that says “Marketing” is wrong within eighteen months in most companies. A sign that says “2.14” is right for as long as the building stands. The cheapest signage strategy is to engrave what does not change — floor and room number — permanently, and to make everything that does change a slide-in card behind a frame. We supply both: engraved plates for the fixed part, and slotted holders where a printed strip can be swapped in ten seconds by anyone.
What to engrave
On the permanent plate: floor and room number, and a function only if it is structural — Reception, Server room, First aid. On the slide-in card: names, teams, anything a reorganisation touches.
Which material
Black acrylic, laser engraved to a white core. It is the most legible thing we make and an office corridor is exactly the sheltered indoor environment it was designed for. Two-tone plastic is the budget alternative for large quantities and allows colour-coding by floor.
The mistake to avoid
Engraving people’s names on door plates. It looks considered on move-in day and turns into a drawer full of obsolete plates by the second year.
